This needs to be done on every theme you have the plugin enabled on as the template is theme-specific. The code should be placed completely outside of the mini-profile, so if you're using the default mini-profile template this will be after the very last closing tag. To make the profile variables work you'll need to add a new line to the very end of Themes > Layout Templates > Mini-Profile and paste the code below on it. This step is essential as it gives the plugin everything it needs on the page to get as much profile information as possible.
